Erin Askounis

Design Project Manager

A Gainesville girl born and raised; Erin attended college at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. She graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor in business administration and marketing and became the Shop Manager at House Dressing for two years. After taking some time to explore the corporate world, she quickly realized that she is truly a small business gal! Her itch to serve in a smaller setting just wouldn’t go away and she found herself back at House Dressing in 2021. She now works as Project & Purchasing Manager where both her creative and organizational brain thrive!

In addition to coming back to House Dressing in 2021, she and her husband, Matt, also welcomed their first child, Benjamin “Benny” Askounis to the world! She is happiest when all things are clean and tidy! She loves spending her free time making memories with her sweet little one and family.

Anna Bennett

Interior Designer

Anna is a lifelong Gainesville gal and a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received her degree of Bachelor of Family and Consumer Science in Furnishings and Interiors. Her professional background includes both high-end seamstress work, and personal business assistance roles.

Since joining the House Dressing team in 2017, she’s enjoyed being able to create spaces that are not only full of beautiful things, but that also stimulate positive change. Anna approaches interior design in a purposeful and personal manner. She feels that clients’ spaces should be a direct reflection of their personalities and values, all while being highly functional and approachable.

Her favorite projects include kitchen and bathroom renovations, and anything that includes unique architectural details. She loves a good custom stain formula, and the other girls in the office call her the resident “mixologist”!

Even though she finds all the pretty parts of a project to be exciting, Anna thinks the best part of any project is the relationship that is built with each client. She is humbled by people’s trust in her, and is honored any time a client chooses to work with her.

Anna’s personal life is full of family, friends, diy projects, time spent outdoors, church functions, and music! In May of 2023, she will marry her fiancé, Josh, and is excited about building a new life with him in the coming years.

Although she is passionate about all these aspects of her life, she believes that her true purpose is found in her relationship with the Lord and therefore, strives to glorify Him in all that she does.

Elizabeth Embry

Interior Designer

Elizabeth, or “EE” as we affectionately call her, grew up in south Georgia, but Gainesville has been her home for over 25 years. She married Cooper after dating all through college and was transplanted to north Georgia permanently. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in furnishings and interiors, Elizabeth worked at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center. Once Elizabeth and Cooper started a family, she decided to stay at home with her children but continued to be involved in design. She painted signs and furniture and had a handful of clients that allowed her to stay creative! Now that she is an empty nester, she has jumped back into the design world full time.

Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling. The Gainesville community means so much to her and quickly became home. It has been a wonderful place for she and Cooper to raise their three children, Charters, Price and Margaret!

McKenna Henry

Design Project Manager

A proud local of Gainesville, McKenna didn’t go far when it came time for college, attending the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor in business administration and marketing and soon teamed up with a few different local, small businesses, working as a consultant on everything from buying and inventory management to merchandising and more.

After a few years, she found herself at a local community bank in a customer service role while waiting and hoping for the perfect opportunity to open up in her dream field of interior design.  In 2019, with small business experience under her belt and a passion for design, McKenna happily landed at House Dressing. Tasked with keeping each project as orderly as possible, McKenna loves that every day she has the ability to combine management with creativity and design!

McKenna is a self-proclaimed “crazy dog lady” and dog mom to her spoiled dachshund, Frankie. She is a lover of an ice cold Coca-Cola, traveling, and music. She is happiest when surrounded by friends, family and good food!

Hoppy Child Entertainer & Greeter

Child Entertainer & Greeter

Hoppy joined the House Dressing team in June 2016 when she was old enough to know not to chew on things and hop on furniture, and her friendly tail wags have been greeting guests ever since.

While you are shopping or consulting with one of our designers, you are most likely to find Hoppy resting in her custom-made dog bed or begging for dog bones at Gainesville Paint. She also revels in the attention she receives from our customers, especially children. Hoppy loves coming to work with her mom and looks forward to seeing you in the shop soon.

Outside of the time she spends at House Dressing, Hoppy enjoys spending time on the lake with her family and playing with her brother, Knowles and sister, Carden.
